CHARLEY
Aerial Yoga Teacher
Charley's journey with movement started in the gym when she was 17 in 2011 during her freshman year at ASU. She was struggling mentally and physically with the pressures of being a first gen college student and found that spending time in the gym helped. Charley was convinced that if she was strong physically then she would be strong mentally.

In 2012, Charley was invited to take a yoga class. Seeing that she was at least 40 years younger than everyone in the class Charley saw it as a good sign. After being thoroughly humbled, and having her ego crushed, she vowed to not return. But, there was something else there hiding under that feeling that made her return. It finally feltlike she could breathe and give herself the space she deserved to take up.
Charley would later go on to drop out of ASU (sorry dad) to pursue her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training while working in a physical therapy office as a tech. She thought her next route would be physical therapy school but yoga had sunk its teeth into her. When she completed her training in April of 2014, Charley didn’t want to teach immediately but the opportunity presented itself and she has been teaching ever since.
Charley's love of movement hasn’t stopped, as well as her passion for learning. She has studied Aerial Yoga, Trauma Informed Yoga and Mindfulness, Kid’s Yoga, Rocket Yoga, Ashtanga, Chair Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Sound Healing, mobility, contortion and hand balancing, and various styles of Vinyasa Yoga.
She has been lucky enough to teach at Wanderlust Yoga Festival and Shakti Fest over the years and is currently in the process of completing her 300-hour yoga teacher training at Authentic Yoga in North Scottsdale which she will complete in early 2023. Charley will forever be grateful to the practice that helped her find herself, her breath, and her voice.
