TRACY

Aerial Yoga Teacher

Tracy initially began her yoga journey in the back of Huss Brewery for Detox to Retox.  She appreciated the focus on proper form with strength, flexibility, and balance control, noting her own growth in these areas. She received her 200 hour YTT training in 2023 and her Aerial Yoga Level 1 training the same year with a recent review / refresher to join the Elevate Aerial Yoga team as a substitute teacher.

Tracy is a practicing Physical Therapist, and has an office at Elevate.

She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University 22 years ago. Her primary specialty is in outpatient orthopedics, which includes everything from repetitive stress injuries to post-surgical to preventative care, etc., but she also has training in vestibular and balance issues. She is able to perform dry needling and has a strong manual therapy background.

Tracy also completed the Circus Fusion course addressing aerial and circus specific injuries and loves working with aerialists to prevent injuries and assist in safely training skills.

Tracy remembers initially practicing aerial yoga with Elevate before the current studio, but reconnected with the community by trying out the new silks program. Tracy essentially loves "hanging from the ceiling" and has a background in pole, lyra, silks, straps, and any other aerial device she can try.

She is a perpetual student and loves learning about movement systems. This is why she loves taking classes from various places and instructors looking for valuable nuggets for herself and her patients.
